History of aircraft

The history of aircraft began in the 18th century, when the first manned, hot air balloon was developed by the French. Shortly after, the Wright brothers created the first successful powered, heavier-than-air machine in 1903. This marked the beginning of powered flight and the start of the aviation industry.

In the decades that followed, aircrafts underwent rapid development. Advances in technology and materials allowed for the construction of more powerful and efficient planes. Jet engines were developed during World War II, leading to the production of jet aircrafts. These engines allowed for higher speeds, better fuel efficiency, and longer flight times. Since then, the aviation industry has continued to make advances in aircraft design, materials, and engines. The development of commercial jetliners in the 1950s and the introduction of supersonic airliners in the 1970s were two of the biggest leaps forward in aviation history. Today, technologically advanced aircrafts, such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A380, are used to transport passengers and cargo around the world.
